Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. The young woman had a troubled childhood. When she was only two, her mother left her to escape from an abusive union. Her return to the life of Pickler in 1995, and assumed custody of her. The situation did not go well. In the year Pickler reached the age of 12, she was returned to her maternal grandparents, which raised her to adulthood. In the absence of the parents of her, Pickler got too involved in as a mother to her children. The young woman admitted that she didn't have time to read and began learning how to become a housekeeper as a child. Pickler participated in the cheerleading squads at both her middle and high school. North Stanly High School, where she was a graduate in 2004 the school she attended was her first choice. Pickler was an additional beauty pageant contestant. The name she was given was Miss Stanly County.
