In 1942, she appeared as a hot leading lady in a string of bland B films, including Vengeance of the West starring Tex Ritter. After a few years of being signed to Republic Studios she turned into a gorgeous platinum-blonde pin-up. The actress was very busy in the studio, predominantly playing Senorita-types in the cowboy films Roy Rogers in Bells of Rosarita (1945) as well as Gene Autry in Twilight on the Rio Grande (1947). Blackmail as well as Web of Danger were both crime dramas that she appeared in. The adventure films like Wake of the Red Witch which starred John Wayne in 1948 and The Avengers in 1950 also provided her with some fun. Arguably her best parts would include Angel on Exile (1948) and Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) the latter again starring Duke Wayne. The actress was seldom given the opportunity to show off her talent as an actor but by 1950, her career had waned. The Big Circus (1959) featuring Victor Mature was her final film appearance. Adele then moved on to TV where she was a guest star in various westerns. Following her marriage to television billionaire Roy Huggins, the producer of many hit series such as 77 Sunset Strip (2005) and Maverick (2007), Adele eventually settled in to raise a child. Many of the shows which she was a part of included her as a featured guest. The couple had three sons. Huggins was murdered in 2002.
